21st Annual GAMMA Awards

Thursday, April 29, 2010
Our 21st Annual Conference on April 29, 2010 was a great success. We had outstanding attendance at the advertising, management, editorial and design training sessions. The day culminated with the 2010 GAMMA Awards luncheon. Congratulations to all the Bronze, Silver, and Gold winners, and Garden & Gun, winner of the Grand GAMMA Award.

"Membership in MAGS provides opportunities for our staff to share experiences with and learn from some of the best in the business. Our entire publishing team looks forward to the annual MAGS conference and always comes away with new insights, ideas and energy."
Cindy McDaniel, Publisher
Arthritis Today

"As a first-time attendee, I was blown away by the MAGS conference. I left pumped up and with my head swimming with great, actionable ideas, plus the business cards of some publishers and editors I’d been dying to make contact with. Count me in for next year."

Dear MAGS Members,

Still waiting on the magazine industry to regain its pre-recession status? Your mom would say sitting and waiting never got anyone anywhere. Now is the time for action! And MAGS is here to help. The best way to improve your position is through education and networking, which happens to be our specialty. Whether you’re looking to land a job, hold onto one or simply advance your career, MAGS is one organization where it pays to be a member.

From luncheon seminars to evening mixers, we host bimonthly bashes packed with the Southeast’s movers and shakers. You never know whom you’ll meet at one of our events: a new client, a new freelancer or maybe you’re next boss! I’ve personally landed most of my jobs through networking and can’t say enough about the importance of mixing and mingling.

Whether you’re new to the industry or looking to reconnect, we welcome all magazine junkies. Help us grow the organization and we’ll nurture your love of journalism.

Best,

Suzanne Oliver
